Music goes back generations in my family, as I am sure it does for many others. Finding out music could play out the moods of all those around me. I became a voyeur to music and those around me.
I found myself listening to many genres of music wanting to discover every aspect. In amazement watching as sounds connected two people that barely knew each other. Maturing I noticed music connected vast groups of people in many different settings.
One never need say what they where feeling. You could see and hear the emotion in what they played or sang. Over the years music became my teacher, my tool, my magnifying glass, my analyzer, my captor and my escape. Music has shown paths to relaxation, meditation, happiness, sadness, love and that of broken hearts. Music has been healing and forgiving when people aren’t.
Music is a powerful wonder. Music can set the tone of all moments. Music can bring those in love closer. Music can sooth the growing child in a mother’s womb. Music can be the universal language to those with a communication barrier. Music is a celebration in itself.
Have you found a connection with music?
